Our new production facility in Ghent is expected to be ready by the summer. It is extremely pleasing that the schedule is on track and that it will also be Breeam Excellent certified.

– This is completely in line with our overall focus on sustainable production and sustainable business, says Per Gunnarsson, CEO of National in Ghent and the one who is following the development of the construction on site.

– We believe that the new factory will provide a boost to our international business, not least because of its geographical location. The proximity to our European market also means sustainability gains in the form of shorter transport distances, says Per.

We already have a functioning material loop where all our material waste goes back to the material supplier and becomes new polyester fiber with which we produce new products. Our goal is also to achieve maximum energy efficiency, including through our own solar park.

In the new facility, we offer textile sound and heat insulating components for the automotive industry. We will also become an attractive supplier to the Office / Interior business segment. In addition to polyester fiber, we will convert products in several other foamed materials!
