Tom Rössel shares some highlights from 2024 ✍

As the year draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you – customers, employees and suppliers – for an exciting and eventful year. In addition to working hard to create better and smarter ways of working, we have also taken the opportunity to renew our graphic profile and website.

– It was a perfect time to modernize our identity now. We have improved our materials, our manufacturing processes and thoroughly trained ourselves to create a sustainable industry that carries us forward. I hope all of this is reflected in our communication.

– Another important task in 2024 has been to create value in our new plastics factory, which was inaugurated at the end of 2023. The factory is now well-tuned and gives us greater opportunities to produce in a climate- and energy-smart way.

National has been manufacturing plastic components for several decades, but in the new robotized and energy-efficient factory we see great potential to be able to get more business.

– National has continued to win awards, which is good proof that we are working in the right direction. In October, we won the big environmental prize at the big local business gala. At the same gala, we also received the award for best global company. Really fun!

– Working climate-smart is a priority and we have in-depth collaborations with RISE, the Swedish Energy Agency and other strong sustainability players, all of which result in climate-smart solutions for our customers. But I also want to tell you that we are also increasingly demanding towards our suppliers. It is through us, our suppliers and our customers prioritizing sustainability that the really good results can arise. Proof that collaboration is everything.

– This year, we have exhibited at Elmia Subcontractor, Sthlm Furniture Fair and Foam Expo in Stuttgart. The overall impression is that the industry is impressed that we have such a broad manufacturing. We can manufacture components and products in rubber, plastic and textile. That actually makes us quite unique in Europe.

– Finally, I would like to once again extend a big thank you to all the fantastic employees, customers, partners and suppliers of the National Group for a great year. I believe that 2025 can be really good if we all work together and focus on creating sustainable products within rubber, plastic and textiles!
