Our Environmental Policy
Operations at National Halmstad shall be conducted in such a way that continuous improvement of the company's impact on both the local and global environment is achieved Continuous improvement shall be achieved through:

• Designing our own workflows and by offering customer solutions with sustainability in mind
• Choosing recyclable alternatives or the best environmental alternative whenever possible
• Minimizing resource waste in all processes
• Driving our own material development and influencing customers to choose products that include renewable raw materials.
• Driving an action plan to reduce energy usage based on completed energy map, leadership, employee involvement and new technologies.
• Taking environmental and energy considerations into all major investment and procurement decisions
• Using energy from renewable sources as much as possible

A rubber compound for the future
National Sweden is proud to present a solution that really changes the polymer industry.

Recycled rubber is a great step forward for the environment, but National Sweden chooses to take even more important steps for the environment. From start we use Eco/Bio Polymer and non-naphtha-based ingredients. National has also chosen not to use recycled materials in its ECO EPDM because of the risk of recycling already discarded or unwanted ingredients in the mixture.

IVL Swedish Environmental Institute has analyzed our rubber compound and their conclusion is that "producing Eco EPDM instead of regular EPDM means a reduction of climate impact by 35%". The use of a partially bio-based EPDM but also a change in the recipe together contribute to this reduction of climate impact.

100% recycled in our Polyester Fiber
All our Polyesterfiber are made of 100% recycled PET, and we also have a process for our production waste, so that we keep the circular process going for most of our materials.
